On behalf of the Law, History and Culture major and its faculty steering committee, the USC Dornsife Department of History is pleased to invite you to:
Herds, Shots, Laws: An LHC Talk and Reception
Tuesday, April 28th
3:30 to 5:00 pm
Doheny Intellectual Commons
USC Campus
Please join us for a very special event designed for LHC majors, for all students thinking about an LHC major, or those who are simply interested in these issues of contemporary relevance and importance.
“Herds, Shots, and Laws” will be feature a presentation by Professor Alex Capron, USC University Professor, member of the faculty of the Gould School of Law and the Keck School of Medicine, and the Scott H. Bice Chair in Healthcare Law, Policy and Ethics
Professor Capron will speak about vaccines, public health, the law, and public policy. What are the salient issues in these often heated debates, what is understood and misunderstood, and how can, or should, the law inform public debates?
A reception will follow Professor Capron’s presentation, where LHC students and faculty will have the chance to mingle and discuss the major, its courses, and LHC classes scheduled for next year.
Please join us, and please feel free to bring guests who might like to hear our distinguished USC faculty colleague speak about these issues.
